Important notice for customers with food allergies or intolerances.

Elle's Baked Treats products are made in a home kitchen that regularly handles tree nuts, peanuts, wheat (gluten), dairy (milk), and eggs. We cannot guarantee that any product is free from these allergens or from cross-contact with them. If you have a severe or life-threatening food allergy, please evaluate your risk carefully before ordering.

Allergens Present in Our Kitchen

The following allergens are used in our kitchen on a regular or frequent basis and may be present in any product through shared equipment, surfaces, or ingredients:

🌾 Wheat / Gluten Used in most baked goods

🥛 Dairy (Milk) Butter, cream, milk used frequently

🥚 Eggs Used in most baked goods

🥜 Peanuts Present in kitchen; possible cross-contact

🌰 Tree Nuts Walnuts, pecans, almonds used in some products

Additional allergens (soy, sesame, coconut) may be present in specific products depending on the order. Please disclose all allergies and intolerances when ordering.

Home Kitchen Disclosure

Elle's Baked Treats operates as a home-based cottage food business in Illinois. Our products are made in a kitchen that is not inspected by a regulatory authority. We do not have the equipment or procedures to produce certified allergen-free products.

We cannot produce items that are certified free from gluten, dairy, eggs, nuts, or any other allergen. Even when a recipe does not include a specific allergen, cross-contact cannot be ruled out due to shared kitchen environment.

What to Tell Us When Ordering

When you place an order, please clearly disclose:

Any food allergies, even mild ones
Any dietary restrictions or intolerances (gluten sensitivity, lactose intolerance, vegan, kosher, etc.)
Whether the order is for someone with a diagnosed allergy vs. a dietary preference

We will tell you honestly whether we can safely accommodate your needs. We will never represent a product as allergen-free if we cannot confirm it.

Dietary Accommodations We Can Attempt

We can attempt to accommodate some dietary preferences (for example, egg-free or dairy-reduced recipes for preference-based restrictions), but these accommodations are made on a best-effort basis in a shared-allergen kitchen. We do not guarantee that accommodated products are safe for people with clinical allergies.

If you have a life-threatening allergy, please consult your physician before ordering from any home bakery.

Acceptance of Risk

By placing an order with Elle's Baked Treats, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this allergen disclosure. Customers ordering with known severe allergies do so at their own risk. Elle's Baked Treats is not liable for allergic reactions resulting from products purchased with this notice in effect.
